Our 3DTi knives are now available with a DLC-coated blade (diamond-like carbon). Due to the anthracite-black, matt surface, the blade not only has a particularly high-quality appearance, but is also extremely robust against scratches and has increased corrosion resistance. The excellent gliding properties reduce the friction between the blade and the material to be cut, which in turn requires less effort when cutting.
Our blades are stonewashed before coating so that the DLC coating has no shine and instead has a silky matt appearance - we are absolutely thrilled with the quality!
Our partner for DLC coatings (AxynTeC GmbH) has developed a special process for blades in which particularly low temperatures are maintained. For quality assurance, the hardness is tested before and after coating. In this way, we guarantee that the tempering temperature is not exceeded during the process and that the hardness remains unchanged.
In our experience, this is unfortunately not the rule with many DLC coatings on the market.
